ASK Offers Free Audit of Windows Server Back Ups
How confident are you that your current tape backup
strategy is sufficient? Most small and medium
businesses today utilize tape backup procedures.
They assume that this will be sufficient in the event of
a disaster.
Unfortunately, analysts estimate that 42% to 71% of
tape restores fail. Even if you have good tapes, the
tape medium itself is highly prone to degradation over
time. What was once a good tape, may no longer be
viable. In addition to that, even good tape back ups
are often unencrypted which leaves your data
susceptible to theft.
All of this creates an enormous potential exposure for
your business. ASK can help! Through June of this
year, ASK is offering a free audit of your back up
strategy. We will provide a full report on your current
methodology including any risk areas as well as
recommendations for mitigation. To take advantage
of this offer, please contact sales@justask.net.

| IBM System i Customers- V5R3 End of Life April 30, 2009 -- What Should You Do? |
| |
If you are still running V5R3 or lower, it's time to
upgrade to V5R4 or straight to V6R1. On January 29th
of last year IBM announced the pending demise of
V5R3. As announced at that time, IBM will no longer
support V5R3 after April 30. So, you still have time to
decide whether you will be upgrading to the newest
release, V6R1. If you are thinking of going to V6R1
before April 30, you will need to get moving very quickly
in order to meet the V6R1 requirements, including
Program Conversion. All programs will need to be
converted to run on the new V6R1 OS.
If you have any questions or to order V6R1 give us a
call.
